Product description

Unrefined, hand-harvested sea salt with more than 70 naturally occurring trace minerals.

Fine Ground Celtic Sea Salt® is the all-purpose version of the classic Celtic Sea Salt® Vital Mineral Blend — harvested by hand from clay-lined salt ponds in coastal France using methods unchanged for centuries, then lightly dried and ground. Nothing is added, nothing is bleached out, and the natural moisture and mineral balance of the ocean is preserved.

Minerals naturally present in the blend

  • Sodium — fluid balance, nerve signaling, muscle contraction, and blood volume. Low sodium intake raises renin, aldosterone, and cortisol.
  • Chloride — stomach acid production and digestion of protein and minerals.
  • Magnesium — over 300 enzyme reactions, energy production, sleep quality, muscle relaxation, and blood sugar control.
  • Potassium — the sodium counterweight; supports healthy blood pressure and muscle function.
  • Calcium — bone structure, muscle contraction, nerve signaling.
  • Iron — oxygen transport and energy; 2% of the daily value per quarter teaspoon.
  • Zinc (trace) — immune function, wound healing, and hormone signaling.
  • Manganese, copper, boron, selenium, iodine, molybdenum, chromium and 60+ other trace elements — antioxidant enzymes, thyroid hormone production, and mineral cofactor roles throughout the body.

Minerals and natural testosterone production

Testosterone production depends on mineral cofactors, and several of the trace minerals found in unrefined sea salt are among them:

  • Zinc is directly involved in testosterone synthesis. Deficiency lowers testosterone in men, and restoring zinc status in deficient men raises it back toward normal.
  • Magnesium reduces the binding of testosterone to sex hormone-binding globulin, which supports more free, bioavailable testosterone — an effect seen most clearly in active men.
  • Boron has been studied at supplemental doses for increasing free testosterone and lowering estradiol and inflammatory markers over one week.
  • Selenium and manganese support the antioxidant enzymes that protect Leydig cells — the testicular cells that make testosterone — from oxidative stress.
  • Adequate sodium keeps aldosterone and cortisol from running high; chronically elevated cortisol suppresses testosterone.

An important honest note: the trace minerals in sea salt are present in very small amounts. A quarter teaspoon is not a zinc or magnesium supplement and will not treat a deficiency. What unrefined salt does well is replace refined table salt — which is stripped to sodium chloride plus anti-caking agents — with a whole-food mineral matrix, while you get therapeutic mineral doses from food, targeted supplements, and lab-guided care.

If low testosterone is your concern, minerals are a foundation, not a treatment. Our clinicians run labs first and build from there.

Ingredients

Ingredients

Sea salt. Contains zero additives, zero anti-caking agents, and no bleaching or refining beyond light drying and grinding.

Kosher certified. Paleo friendly. Third-party laboratory analyzed to confirm mineral content and pH.

Suggested use

Use as your everyday salt — in a salt shaker, as a cooking or baking ingredient, in pickling, or finished over food. The fine grind dissolves easily and has a more subtle flavor than coarse Celtic Sea Salt®. To preserve optimal freshness, store in a ceramic, glass, or wood container with a loose-fitting lid; the natural moisture in unrefined salt is normal.

Warnings

This salt does not supply iodide, a necessary nutrient. If you have high blood pressure, kidney disease, heart failure, or have been told to limit sodium, talk with your clinician before changing your salt intake. Keep out of reach of children.

Why we stock it at Rise

Hand-harvested since 1976 by a third-generation family company, Celtic Sea Salt® is the salt we point clients to when they ask what to put on the table. It is a simple, inexpensive swap that keeps the ocean's mineral matrix intact instead of stripping it out.
